A 6A Usonic overload switch (often branded or generically sold as a thermal push-button circuit breaker) is a safety device designed to cut power when the current exceeds 6A. It protects electrical equipment, branch lines, and motors from damage caused by overheating and overcurrents.

How It Works
Inside the switch is a calibrated bimetallic strip. When a current higher than 6A flows through the circuit continuously, the excess heat causes the strip to bend. This bending releases a latch, forcing the switch into the “OFF” position. Once the device cools down, you simply press the button back in to reset the connection.
